Balistik 07AM is an independent artistic project. It’s meant to be a form of rebellion, authenticity, and individual expression that can be interpreted in a thousand different ways. Every piece is like an amulet that gains its own purpose and meaning over time, becoming something emotional and almost mystical.

 

Meet the Designer

I’m Amaru Zapata, I’m 17 years old and I’m from Ecuador, a country with a strong conservative influence, especially in the city where I grew up. Ever since I was a kid, I always looked for ways to express myself beyond what was considered normal, and I was constantly surrounded by art. That connection to creativity eventually led me to sewing as a way to explore my identity.

When I started Balistik in August 2023, my goal was to design clothes that made me feel like myself. To me, clothing is more than just something you wear — it’s a way to tell stories and be authentic. At Balistik, I work with denim, fabric scraps, and recycled materials, giving them a new life through each piece.

I want every piece I make to feel special, with attention to detail and dedication you can feel in every stitch, creating a personal connection between the person and the garment, almost like wearing your own individual amulet.
